The American Institute of Architecture Students at UTSA would like to invite you to join us for a fun day of riding on San Antonio's beautiful new mission reach portion of the River Walk (10 miles) on Nov. 17th 2012 at 10am. This year to raise money for the 20 plus students hoping to attend the AIAS Annual Forum Convention we have organized our first Race to Forum charity bike ride. Attending members have asked parents mentors and friends to sponsor them for a given dollar amount per mile. All donations will be put into a pool and used to pay for conference registration and hotel accomodation for the entire chapter. Ride registration for Faculty and Professionals is $20.00. Please feel free to find sponsors for yourselves as well, whether it be from colleagues, offices, or family members. We ask that any sposorship be no less than $5.00 per mile.

AIAS FORUM is the annual meeting of the American Institute of Architecture Students and the global gathering of the architecture and design students. The event provides students with the opportunity to learn about important issues facing architectural education and the profession, to meet students, educators, and professionals with common interests, and to interact with some of today's leading architects through keynote addresses, tours, workshops and seminars. This year forum is being hosted The Savannah College of Art and Design. SCAD is one of the premier Fine Arts Universities in the country and being so has dedicated a lot of their resources to making this the largest most beneficial conferences to date. With keynote speeches from the likes of Antoine Predock, Rural Studio, David Zach, and Robert Venturi, this conference, arguably more so than anyone before, promises to be an invaluable opportunity for students to network, grow as future proffesionals, and gain a type of understanding not neccearily found in the studio. 

After registering you will recieve an sposor pledge form attached. This form will be filled out prior to the event and brought by rider.

Our student memebers work hard to better themselves and the chapter everyday. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to feel the tangible fruits of their labor. We hope to see you there on the morning of the ride.
